ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, shut out the Bakersfield Condors, 2-0, on Sunday evening before 5,624 fans at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Tony Voce claimed the first goal of the night, in the Reign's third straight game, early in the opening period. During a Reign power play, defenseman David Walker snapped a pass over to Greg Hogeboom just inside the blue line. Hogeboom fired off a one-timer that was deflected past Bakersfield netminder Jean-Philippe Levasseur.

Both teams registered a combined 15 shots in the middle frame, none of which crossed the goal line, but the officials doled out 38 penalty minutes between the clubs, including a game misconduct and two fighting majors. After mixing it up with Reign defenseman Brian Kilburg, Bakersfield defenseman Eric Regan tallied five minutes for fighting and left the match with a game misconduct as a result of not having his jersey tied down.

Right wing Mike Howe scored the Reign's second goal of the game and last in the match at 13:36 in the final period. Howe sent a wrist shot sliding under Levasseur off assists from Greg Hogeboom and center Tim Kraus. Ontario took the two points with their sixth straight win and final score of Reign 2, Condors 0.
