
Wranglers Fall to Victoria in Overtime

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers were beaten by the Victoria Salmon Kings 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday night in front of 3,865 fans at the Orleans Arena. Salmon Kings' defenseman Steve Lingren scored with 50-seconds remaining in overtime to seal the first Victoria win over Las Vegas. Victoria goaltender B.J. Boxma made 32 saves to pick up his third win of the season. Wranglers forwards Sean O'Connor and Steve Crampton each scored in the overtime loss. Las Vegas will host Idaho on Friday and Saturday at 7:05 pm.
Victoria scored in the first period as K.C. Timmons scored at 7:56, giving the Salmon Kings a 1-0 lead. Las Vegas' Sean O'Connor countered for the Wranglers with 0.7 seconds remaining in the first period to tie the game at one.
In the second period, Dan Tudin and Matt Dzeiduszycki set up Steve Crampton's 14th of the season at 7:43 to put the Wranglers in the lead at 2-1.
Victoria tied the game in the third period as Steve Roberts deflected a rebound passed Wranglers goalie Marc Magliarditi, tying the game at two with 12:20 remaining in the final period.
In overtime, Steve Lingren scored with just 50-seconds remaining to give the Salmon Kings the 3-2 victory.
Las Vegas will conclude their six-game home stand with Idaho next Friday and Saturday at 7:05 pm. Saturday night fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the concourse of the Orleans Arena. Also, the Zooperstars will perform on Saturday night.
