San Diego Gulls News Release
SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls' "King-Sized Week" continues with another special announcement... The NHL's Los Angles Kings will hold a mini Olympic Break training camp at the ipayOne Center with practices scheduled for Friday and Saturday. There will also be a special autograph session Saturday.
The Kings are set to take the ipayOne Center ice at the following times this week:
Friday: 10 a.m. to Noon and 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. (competition practice)
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The Kings will also hold a special team autograph session Saturday on the North Concourse from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Fans interested in attending Saturday's practice and/or autograph session MUST have a ticket to Saturday's Gulls game, which is at 7:05 p.m. against the Utah Grizzlies.
Those who already have a ticket to Saturday's game can present it upon entrance. The ipayOne Center Box Office will be open to those who don't have tickets.
The Kings will also give a sizeable donation, which will go toward purchasing tickets for military members and their families for "Military Appreciation Night," which takes place March 3 against the Las Vegas Wranglers.
This is all part of the Gulls' "King-Sized Week," which features Saturday's big home game against Utah and the player acquisitions of former fan-favorites Taj Melson and Chad Wagner.
But before the Gulls can think about Saturday, they have two other games to worry about. Wednesday they'll host the red-hot Grizzlies at 7:05 p.m. and Friday they'll visit the Phoenix Roadrunners for a 6:11 p.m. (PST) contest.
Saturday will be the inaugural "Pink in the Rink" night, benefiting the Mary Kay Ash Foundation. Caltrans and Verizon Yellow Pages will help bring you the special night, which also features the ever-popular long-sleeved T-shirt giveaway for the first 8,000 fans.
The Gulls will be sporting special pink Mary Kay Ash jerseys for the game, which is also against Utah and begins at 7:05 p.m. These jerseys will be auctioned LIVE immediately following the game in sections 12, 13 and 14 of the ipayOne Center. Michael Anstead of Ansteads Auctions will be the auctioneer for the night.
