
Wranglers Fall to Grizzlies 4-1 - Las Vegas Hosts Phoenix This Monday at 2:05 PM

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® (26-19-5, 57 points) were defeated by the Utah Grizzlies (18-16-14, 50 points) 4-1 in front of 4,784 fans Sunday afternoon at the Orleans Arena. Utah defenseman Andy Sertich tallied two goals and one assist as Utah picked up their 18th win of the season. Forward Kelly Czuy scored the lone Las Vegas goal in the loss. Goalie Matt Keetley stopped 35 shots as the Wranglers' lost their first game in regulation in their last 10 games. Utah goalie Peter Mannino stopped 22 of 23 shots for the win. The Wranglers will play Phoenix this Monday at 2:05 PM.
After a scoreless first period, Utah forward Tom Kotsopoulos scored with a four-on-three power play, putting the Grizzlies up 1-0. Rob Hennigar set up Kotsopoulos' 12th goal of the season at 11:24 of the second period. Las Vegas answered back at 16:11 as forward Kelly Czuy ripped a shot from the right circle to tie the game 1-1. Forwards Hugo Carpentier and Chris Ferraro assisted on Czuy's fifth goal of the season. The Grizzlies outshot Las Vegas 20-6 in the middle period.
Utah would take a 2-1 lead at 6:23 of the third period. Defenseman Andy Sertich snapped in a rebound for his eighth goal of the season for Utah. Sertich struck again at 12:20, scoring a power-play goal to give Utah the 3-1 lead. Grizzlies forward Tom May padded the lead with an empty-net goal at 18:01 for the 4-1 final.
The Wranglers will play their last home game in February on Monday, February 16th at 2:05 PM against Phoenix.
