
Wranglers Come Up Aces With 7-1 Victory

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers (34-8-4, 72 points) defeated the Alaska Aces (36-7-3, 75 points) 7-1 on Tuesday night at the Orleans Arena in front of 4,705 fans. Left wing Dan Tudin scored three goals for his second hat trick of the season. Center Matt Dzieduszycki also scored while dishing out two assists. Las Vegas goaltender Marc Magliarditi made 22 saves for his 22nd win of the year and 202nd of his ECHL career, moving him into second place on the league's all-time list of victories. The Las Vegas Wranglers return home February 14th, 2006 to host the San Diego Gulls at 7:05pm at the Orleans Arena. Las Vegas will visit Utah at 6:05 pm (PST) on Saturday night.
In the first period, Tudin scored the Wranglers first goal of the night at 3:19 of the period with a power-play rebound shuffle. Tudin tallied his second goal just two minutes later to push the Wranglers lead to 2-0. Alaska answered back as Barrett Heisten scored his 21st goal of the season to make the score 2-1 after one period.
In the second period, Las Vegas extended the lead back two as Chris Stanley netted his 22nd goal of the year and the Wranglers led 3-1. Winger Marco Peluso scored on a breakaway three minutes later as Las Vegas pushed the lead to 4-1 at 12:20 of the period. Defenseman Scott Schoneck notched his fourth goal of the year with just over two minutes left in the second period to push the Wranglers lead to 5-1.
In the third period, Tudin capped off his evening with the winger's third goal of the game. Center Matt Dzieduszycki set up the goal with an unbelievable drop pass in the crease and Tudin tallied his 19th goal of the season at 6:56. Tudin's hat trick was the second one ever at home for Las Vegas and the team's fifth all time. Dzieduszycki finished off the scoring for Las Vegas as he scored his 25th goal of the season at 16:17, extending the Las Vegas lead to 7-1.
Wranglers' goaltender Marc Magliarditi notched his 202nd ECHL victory to move into second place on the league all-time list. Magliarditi passed Daniel Berthiuame and now trails only Nick Vitucci (265 wins).
Las Vegas will head to Utah to take on the Grizzlies at 7:05 pm (MST) this Saturday. The Wranglers will return to the Orleans Arena to start a six-game home stand starting next Tuesday with the San Diego Gulls at 7:05 pm. The Wranglers will hand out 2,000 "The Duke" dodgeballs on Friday, February 17th. Las Vegas will host Fresno at 7:05 pm on the 17th. The Wranglers will round out next weekend by welcoming in the Utah Grizzlies at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. Prior to the game from 4:30-6:30 fans may attend the Port of Subs Pre-Game Party in the concourse of the Orleans Arena.
