Bombers acquire goaltender

Dayton, OH- Today the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL announced the acquisition of goaltender David Currie in exchange for future considerations in a trade with the Victoria Salmon Kings.

Currie, a native of Peterborough, Ontario, played in 10 games with Victoria and posted a 3-6-0 record, 3.77 GAA, and a .875 SV%. Prior to his time with the Salmon Kings, Currie spent each of the past two seasons with the Johnstown Chiefs. He played in 69 games and posted a 29-25-12 record, 3.10 GAA, and a .895 SV%.

When asked why the move for Currie was made, Dayton GM/ Head Coach Don MacAdam stated: "I was really impressed with the way David played against the Bombers while in Johnstown last season and because of that we really believe he will help solidify our goaltending situation for the rest of this season."
