Johnstown, PA (February 8, 2006) - Chiefs General Manager Toby O'Brien announced today Johnstown claimed defenseman Brad Sullivan off waivers from the Reading Royals.

Sullivan, 25, a 6-foot-2, 212 pound defenseman played in eight games this season for the Reading Royals, recording one goal. He played four seasons at Michigan Tech before signing with the Dayton Bombes last season. He played 11 games with the Bombers in 2004-05, recording four penalty minutes.

"Brad will provide some size and much needed depth on our blue-line. We're looking forward to him joining our club," said O'Brien. Sullivan will be available this weekend as the Chiefs host Toledo on Friday night, Dayton on Saturday, before traveling to Dayton on Sunday.

The Johnstown Chiefs 2005-06 season presented by First National Bank of Pennsylvania resumes Friday night as the Chiefs host division rival, Toledo. The puck drops at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available by calling 1-800-CHF-TIXX.
