
Worcester Sharks Reduce Training Camp Roster By Three

WORCESTER - San Jose Sharks Vice President and Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the Worcester Sharks have released three players from the 2008-09 Worcester Sharks Training Camp Roster. The moves leave 30 players remaining in Worcester's camp.

The Sharks fell 3-2 in their first exhibition game to the Hartford Wolf Pack on Wednesday night at Trinity College. Rory Rawlyk and Ashton Rome scored for the Sharks. Listed below is the remaining exhibition game schedule:
October 3rd @ Springfield at MassMutual Center (7:30 p.m.)
October 4th vs. Hartford at Loring Arena in Framingham (7 p.m.)
October 5th vs. Manchester at Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg presented by the Sentinel & Enterprise (4 p.m.)
The Sharks will open their third season in Lowell on Saturday, October 11th at 7:00 p.m. Worcester will then travel to Glens Falls in New York to battle the River Rats on the October 17th at 7:30 p.m., and then return home for the team's home opener against Providence on October 18th at 7:05 p.m. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive All-Star bobbleheads and magnet schedules courtesy of Charter Communications! All fans will also be treated to a pre-game concert by Joshua Tree, a U2 tribute band!
