
IceHogs introduce 10th anniversary page on web site

Rockford, Ill.- In honor of their Tenth Anniversary season, the Rockford IceHogs introduce a "Tenth Anniversary" page on the team's official Web site, www.icehogs.com. The 2008-09 season marks a decade of professional hockey in Rockford and second in the American Hockey League as the top affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Beginning on Monday, Oct. 6, the page will feature Top Ten lists from the IceHogs first nine seasons in Rockford, a "Today In IceHogs Hockey" segment, past player profiles, photos and much more. The link is located under the "Team" tab on www.icehogs.com.
The team was originally established prior to the 1999-2000 season and played its first eight seasons as members of the United Hockey League. Throughout the course of the '08-09 campaign, the IceHogs will celebrate its tenth season of professional hockey in the Forest City at games and in the community.
The IceHogs Tenth Anniversary season officially begins on Friday, Oct. 10 when Rockford hosts the Quad City Flames at 7:30 p.m. at the Rockford MetroCentre.
