
Aeros to host Third Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game on October 18

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros will host their 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness game Saturday, October 18 at 7:35 p.m. against the San Antonio Rampage. Special ticket packages will benefit Susan G. Komen Houston Affiliate, the Aeros will provide a number of activities and giveaways to help raise awareness of breast cancer.
Susan G. Komen Houston Affiliate will be presented a check from Houston Aeros Charities and NATCO, the total funds raised from the 2008 Komen Houston Race for the Cure will be announced and the 2007 Pink Honor Roll will be recognized during the game. The Houston HERicanes hockey team will be on the ice during the singing of the national anthem. Shannon Keeler, a US figure skater and breast cancer survivor, will skate during the second intermission with former Olympian Mark Janoschak.
'Pink Ribbon' and 'Pink Power' ticket packages are available for the game with a specified amount being donated to Susan G. Komen. All ticket packages are available by calling the Aeros front office at (713) 361-7930.
The 'Pink Ribbon' package, at $31, includes a Center Ice seat, a limited edition Aeros Pink Puck presented by NATCO and an entry into a drawing for an Aeros team-autographed hockey stick with $5 from each package donated to Susan G. Komen. The first 50 'Pink Ribbon' packages purchased will receive a commemorative pink t-shirt courtesy of Female Fanz.
The 'Pink Power' package, at $18, includes a Lower End Zone ticket and a limited edition Aeros Pink Puck presented by NATCO with $4 from each package donated to Susan G. Komen.
The first of two preseason contests is scheduled for this Friday, October 3 at 8 p.m. also to be held at SLICE. Tickets are still available at the SLICE pro shop or by calling (281) 265-7465 today. Tickets are limited so don't delay.
The Aeros open the 15th Anniversary Season on Saturday, October 11 against the Calder Cup Champion Chicago Wolves at 7:35 p.m. at Toyota Center. Season tickets, group tickets and single-game tickets are available now through the front office by calling (713) 974-PUCK or online at AEROS.com.
