MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Jake Woodford allowed just three singles in 6.0 shutout innings, and Adolis Garcia and Patrick Wisdom combined to drive in Memphis' four runs in a 4-0 win for the first-place Redbirds (69-41) over the Sacramento River Cats (Giants) Thursday night at AutoZone Park.

Sacramento's hits against Woodford came in the second, fifth, and sixth innings, and he struck out six and walked just one. Matt Bowman and Tommy Layne combined to work the final 3.0 innings to finish the three-hit shutout. The duo struck out four River Cats.

Adolis Garcia continued to be locked in at the dish, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. He is on a 12-game hitting streak, hitting .436 (24-55) with 22 RBI, 16 runs scored, and nine home runs during the stretch.

Wisdom cranked his 14th home run of the year in the bottom of the eighth and 50th in three seasons as a Redbird to give Memphis a little breathing room at 4-0.

Lane Thomas was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, and Wilfredo Tovar also had two hits for the Redbirds.

Sacramento did not have a runner in scoring position all night.

The Redbirds' seven-game homestand continues tomorrow night at 7:05 with the finale of the three-game set with Sacramento. For more information on single-game tickets, visit www.memphisredbirds.com.
