DES MOINES, IA - Iowa and Salt Lake switched places as the Bees (58-52) shutout the I-Cubs (41-68) 2-0 Thursday at Principal Park, following a 6-0 I-Cubs shutout last night. The Iowa loss evened the series 1-1.

The I-Cubs' offense never got going as they were held to three hits. Jen-Ho Tseng was nearly as effective from the bump for Iowa as he limited the Bees to five knocks through 7.0 frames. The only damage against Tseng came in the form of solo home runs from Alberto Triunfel in the fifth and Jared Walsh in the sixth. Tseng walked one and fanned eight in the outing.

Iowa couldn't take advantage of its limited offense, going 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position and leaving five stranded. Stephen Bruno highlighted the lineup with a 2-for-4 night and a double that fell just short of home run territory.

Tseng logged his fifth quality start, but came away with his seventh-consecutive loss while falling to 2-11 on the season. Alberto Baldonado, Cory Mazzoni and Randy Rosario combined for a scoreless relief effort.

Salt Lake used five pitchers to cruise through Iowa's lineup. Tyler Stevens (1-3) took the win, as Jeremy Rhoades earned his fourth save of the season.

Iowa and Salt Lake meet for the final time of 2018 tomorrow at 7:08 for Firework Friday. For more information or tickets, visit www.iowacubs.com.
