Wausau Woodchucks News Release
The game started out slowly. Neither team scored in the first two innings, but the Chinooks threatened in the 2nd inning. They drew some walks and loaded up the bases, but Woodchuck starter Nate Madej was able to get out of the jam and keep the game scoreless.
The Chinooks struck first in the bottom of the 3rd. After Madej recorded the first two outs, the Chinooks used three straight singles to score a run. Nathan Aide brought home Ronald Sweeny III to give Lakeshore the lead 1-0 going into the 4th.
The Chucks loaded the bases in the top of the 4th when Chinooks starter Jake Carlsen hit Byron Murray, and then walked Angel Tiburcio and Kenny Rodriguez. Wisconsin was unable to convert though, as Javier Rosario grounded out to the first basemen to end the inning.
The Woodchucks found themselves in trouble once again in the bottom of the 4th. Nate Madej was pulled after giving up a single to Mike Trautwine and the Chucks brought in Greyson Fletcher.
