
Wong, Mujica Give Bulls Fourth Win in a Row

DURHAM, NC - Jose Mujica allowed two runs, struck out six and held the Toledo Mud Hens in check, earning his fourth win of the season as the Durham Bulls earned a "â¹6-2 victory on Saturday night at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Trailing 2-1 in the second inning, Curt Casali's RBI single tied the game before Micah Johnson gave the Durham Bulls (16-11) a 4-2 lead over the Mud Hens with a two-run double, driving in his first two runs of the season.
Kean Wong launched his second home run of the year to center field in the fourth inning, a solo blast extending Durham's lead to 5-2.
Jose Mujica (W, 4-1) delivered 5.0 innings, allowing two runs and earning his fourth win of the season. Mujica has posted a win in his last four decisions and tossed at-least 5.0 innings in five of six starts this season.
Toledo Mud Hens (16-11) starter Spenser Watkins (L, 0-1) dropped his Triple-A debut after being assigned to Toledo from Lakeland early in the day. Watkins allowed five earned runs, two home runs, on seven hits over 4.2 innings.
Wong added another run in the bottom of the eighth with an RBI single to right, extending the lead to 6-2. He finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Austin Pruitt (H, 1) bridged the gap over 3.0 scoreless relief frames with five strikeouts, handing Diego Castillo (S, 3) the ball to close out his third save of the season.
The Bulls matched their longest win streak of the season, following a four-game stretch from April 27 to May 1.
The Durham Bulls go for the sweep over the Toledo Mud Hens Sunday evening. First pitch is scheduled for 5:05 pm at the DBAP.
