Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

A five-run bottom of the fourth spring boarded the Rochester Red Wings to an 8-0 victory Saturday afternoon at Frontier Field. Lehigh Valley IronPigs' starter Tom Eshelman (1-3) was tagged for eight runs (six earned) in the defeat.

Zack Littell (1-0) made his Triple-A debut and frazzled IronPigs hitters from the get go. Keeping the Pigs out of the hit column until the fourth inning, Littell backed up his team's timely hitting with superb pitching. Littell went six innings, allowing just two hits while walking four and striking out six.

The Pigs had racked up 33 hits and 24 runs during a three-game winning streak, but they were limited to just four hits in the shutout.

Seranthony Dominguez remained perfect since joining the IronPigs with two-thirds of an inning in relief. The No. 11 prospect has yet to allow a baserunner in 3 2/3 innings.

Joey Meneses was responsible for two of the Pigs' hits on the afternoon including his eighth double of the season. Meneses is now hitting .361 on the season, which ranks him in the top five in the IL.

Dylan Cozens added to his eight-game hitting streak with his fifth double of the season. Cozens reached base twice and worked his 15th walk of the year.

Mitch Walding continued to get on base, now walking three times in back-to-back games. Walding has seven walks in the series and has scored three runs without recording a hit.

Former IronPig Taylor Featherston capped off the scoring for the Red Wings with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning, his second of the season.

Jake Cave and Leonardo Reginatto each had a pair of RBIs in the ballgame. Cave went 3-for-5 with the two RBI and a run scored. Reginatto's two-run single in the bottom of the fourth put Rochester up 4-0.

The Pigs and Red Wings wrap up the series tomorrow afternoon in Rochester at 1:05 p.m. Lehigh Valley can take the series with a win and cannot lose the series after taking games on Thursday and Friday. Jake Waguespack looks for his first Triple-A victory against 23-year-old Stephen Gonsalves.

The Pigs return to Coca-Cola Park on Monday for a three-game series against Pawtucket. The seven-game homestand will run through the weekend as the Pigs are set to play a four game series against Buffalo.
