loss at the Allstate Arena
--- Forwards RAMZI ABID, STEPHEN BABY and PAT DWYER all found the back of

--- Goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT notched 35 saves on 41 shots

--- The Toronto Marlies battled back from a two-goal, first period deficit
with five unanswered goals and held on for a 5-4 victory against the Wolves
at the Allstate Arena
--- Right wing BILLY TIBBETTS tallied one goal and two assists, while right
wings PAT DWYER (2A) and STEPHEN BABY (G, A) each chipped in two points
--- Netminders MICHAEL GARNETT (20 of 25) and ADAM BERKHOEL (6 of 6)

scored for the Wolves

which includes dishing out a season-high two helpers on Saturday ... Paces

short-handed markers
--- RAMZI ABID: Currently on a five-game point streak (Dec. 29 - present),
netting 11 points (4G, 7A) during that span ... Collected two assists and
four penalty minutes in four games with the Atlanta Thrashers this season
... Paces the Wolves with 18 goals, 20 assists and 38 points in 34 games; he
is tied for sixth in the AHL with 10 power-play tallies
--- BRIAN MALONEY: Notched points in a season-high four straight games (Jan.
8 - present) accumulating four assists and five points during that span ...
Ranks fourth on the Wolves with a career-high 22 points ... Accrued a
career-most eight goals and 14 assists in 38 tilts this year ... Ranks
second on the squad with 97 penalty minutes
--- DEREK MacKENZIE: Tallied two points - including his first goal of the
season - in his last two games after missing 30 of the previous 32 ...

WOLF TRACKS
--- Chicago has earned just three points in its last six games (1-4-0-1)
after collecting 10 points in its previous six contests (4-0-1-1).
--- The Wolves will play three of their four games at the Allstate Arena
this week before hitting the road for a season-high five-game road trip from
Jan. 27 to Feb. 7.
--- The Wolves have undergone 13 transactions this month - including seven
in the last seven days - after seeing just seven roster changes in the
entire month of December.
--- Chicago lost on Sunday for just the fourth time this season when
collecting multiple power-play goals (7-3-0-1).

Number of regular-season victories Chicago has collected; the Wolves will take a fourth crack at 500 when they battle the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights at the Allstate Arena on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
NOTABLE
The Wolves will be wearing special Mardi Gras-themed jerseys - in honor of those affected in New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina - during home games on Wed., Jan. 18; Sat., Jan. 21 and Sun., Jan. 22. The jerseys, with the exception of four, will be auctioned to benefit American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. The remaining four jerseys will be awarded in a special raffle.
