The Chicago Wolves have released goaltender KEVIN ARMSTRONG.

The 21-year-old netminder backed up Chicago's 4-3 loss to the Peoria Rivermen at Carver Arena on Friday after being signed on Thursday.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native has appeared in three contests with the International Hockey League's Bloomington Prairie Thunder this season, recording a 2.67 goals-against average and .920 save percentage in those outings (2-1-0). Prior to joining Bloomington, he backstopped 22 games for the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League, posting an 11-8-1 mark with a 3.62 goals-against average and .885 save percentage.

The Wolves host the Rockford IceHogs at the Allstate Arena this afternoon at 3 p.m.
