
Wolves Receive Tanev from Vancouver

The Vancouver Canucks have assigned defenseman CHRIS TANEV (TA-nehv) to the Chicago Wolves.
TANEV has skated in three National Hockey League games with Vancouver this year. He made his NHL debut with the Canucks last season, collecting one assist in 29 contests during his professional debut.
The 21-year-old blueliner also collected 8 assists, 9 points and 16 penalty minutes in 39 American Hockey League tilts with the Manitoba Moose last year.
Prior to turning pro, the Toronto, native spent one season with the Rochester Institute of Technology (AHA), posting 10 goals, 18 assists and 28 points in 41 matchups in 2009-10. He also helped R.I.T. to the school's first ever appearance in the NCAA Frozen Four.
TANEV will join the Wolves when they take on the Rockford IceHogs in an Illinois Lottery Cup matchup at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21 at the Allstate Arena. For more information on ticket packages or group outings, visit chicagowolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
