THE SKINNY

The Aeros (2-1-0-1) earned three out of a possible six points last week with a win at Texas on Friday, a shootout loss at home against San Antonio on Saturday and a loss at Oklahoma City on Sunday. The Aeros enter the week one point out of first place in the West Division.

KUEMPER REASSIGNED TO ONTARIO (ECHL)

Goaltender Darcy Kuemper was reassigned to the Ontario (Calif.) Reign (ECHL) in order to gain playing time. The Aeros had been carrying three goaltenders (Dennis Endras and Matt Hackett are the other two). Kuemper won his debut on Saturday with 28 saves and also stopped 9 of 11 chances in the shootout as the Reign edged the Stockton Thunder 3-2.

BANNER CEREMONY A SUCCESS

On Saturday, Oct. 15, a crowd of 6,473 watched at Toyota Center as the Aeros unveiled their 2010-11 AHL Western Conference Championship banner prior to the game. The first 3,000 fans in attendance received replica banners.

DOLLAR HOT DOG NIGHT ON OCT. 29

Saturday, October 29 is the first-ever Aeros Dollar Hot Dog night at Toyota Center. Face off against the Oklahoma City Barons is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.
