
Time Warner Cable SportsNet to Televise 11 Amerks Games

(Rochester, NY)...Rochester Americans Vice President of Business Operations Rob Kopacz announced today that Time Warner Cable SportsNet will televise 11 regular season Amerks games during the 2011-12 American Hockey League season.
The televised games will be simulcast with the Amerks radio broadcasts, meaning Hall of Fame play-by-play broadcaster Don Stevens, the Voice of the Amerks now in his 26th season with the club, will be joined by color analyst and former Sabre Ric Seiling in the broadcast booth.
Mike Catalana, sports director for 13WHAM News, Rochester's ABC affiliate, will join Stevens and Seiling on air as host of the broadcasts. Catalana, who has covered nearly every major sporting event in the country during his career, has been a fixture on the Rochester sports scene since 1987. He won an Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Feature in 2006 and he and his sports staff have also been honored as best in the state by the Associated Press and the New York State Broadcasters Association.
The following games are scheduled to be televised on Time Warner Cable SportsNet during the 2011-12 season:

Sunday, Nov. 6 vs. Syracuse (6:00 p.m.)
Wednesday, Dec. 21 vs. Lake Erie (7:00 p.m.)
Friday, Jan. 20 vs. Oklahoma City (7:30 p.m.)
Thursday, Feb. 2 vs. Abbotsford (7:00 p.m.)
Wednesday, Feb. 22 vs. Hershey (7:00 p.m.)
Sunday, Mar. 4 vs. Toronto (5:00 p.m.)
Friday, Mar. 9 vs. Binghamton (7:30 p.m.)
Tuesday, Apr. 10 vs. Grand Rapids (7:00 p.m.)
Friday, Apr. 13 vs. Syracuse (7:30 p.m.)
Time Warner Cable SportsNet Rochester is available on Channel 26 or HD Channel 1026.
The Amerks return to action Tuesday, Oct 18 at 7:05 p.m. when they host the rival Syracuse Crunch at The Blue Cross Arena.
