
Wolves blank Ducks 3-0 behind Lehtonen

ROSEMONT, IL -- Brad Larsen had a goal and an assist and Kari Lehtonen made 27 saves, as the Chicago Wolves blanked the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, 3-0, Saturday in front of 16,308 fans at Allstate Arena.
Greg Hawgood and Travis Roche also scored for the Wolves, who won for just the second time in their last seven games (2-4-0-1).
Lehtonen, the second overall pick in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by Atlanta, stopped 10 shots in the first period, eight shots in the second period and nine more in the third en route to his first shutout of the season and fifth of his career.
Ilya Bryzgalov surrendered three goals on 27 shots for Cincinnati, which beat Chicago, 4-3, Friday at Cincinnati Gardens.
The game featured a total of 172 penalty minutes, 78 for Cincinnati and 94 for Chicago.
The Ducks play Grand Rapids Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Cincinnati Gardens.
