The Wolf Pack built a winning streak to five games last week, before a 4-2 loss in Manchester on Sunday cost them a chance to move into a first-place tie with the Monarchs. Prior to that defeat, the Pack had exploded for a total of 17 goals in the previous three games, a 7-2 win over Bridgeport Wednesday in the Sonar's Edu-Skate game at the Hartford Civic Center, a 5-2 victory Friday at Bridgeport and a 5-4 home decision over Manchester on Saturday. Nigel Dawes had goals in all four games, including a hat trick and an assist Friday, and totaled 6-2-8. Alex Bourret rang up 2-6-8 in the four contests, and Dane Byers registered his first pro hat trick in Saturday's game.
This week:
It's another four-game week for the Wolf Pack, with the first three being Atlantic Division battles. Head Coach Kevin Dineen and the Portland Pirates make their last visit of the regular season to the Hartford Civic Center on Wednesday night (7:00). The Pack travel to Worcester Friday evening (7:00) to wrap up their season series against the red-hot Sharks, before playing their last DATTCO I-91 Challenge game of the year vs. Springfield at home on Saturday (7:00). The weekend concludes with a visit by the Albany River Rats to the Civic Center on Sunday (4:00).
Tuesday, April 3rd - "Wolf Pack Confidential" at Little Mark's Big Barbecue on ESPN Radio 1410
This week's edition of the Wolf Pack's weekly hour-long Tuesday-night talk show features Assistant Coach J.J. Daigneault and winger Alex Bourret as scheduled guests. Wolf Pack Confidential airs live from 7-8 PM from Little Mark's Big Barbecue, located at 279 West Main St. (Rt. 44) in Avon. Fans are invited to be on hand at Little Mark's for the show, and the guests will be taking questions from the live audience. The show can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1410 and on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com.
Wednesday, April 4th vs. Portland at the Hartford Civic Center, 7:00 p.m.
Head Coach Kevin Dineen's Pirates have won five straight games to climb to within three points out of a playoff spot in the Atlantic Division. Their record stands at 35-27-3-9 for 82 points.
Joe Motzko (27-36-63 in 63 GP) and Mark Hartigan (28-29-57 in 59 GP), both of whom were acquired by parent club Anaheim January 26th from Columbus, are the top two scorers on the Portland roster.
The Wolf Pack are 5-1-0-0 in this year's season series with the Pirates and have won five straight in the series since losing the opener.
Selected Wolf Pack players will be conducting a free postgame autograph session in the Lower Mezzanine area of the Civic Center.

Friday, April 6th at Worcester (DCU Center), 7:00 p.m.
The Sharks are the hottest team in the AHL, having won seven straight games to improve their record to 37-25-3-8 for 85 points. That puts them fourth in the Atlantic Division, six points behind the Wolf Pack.
Rookie goaltender Thomas Greiss has been in net for all seven of the Sharks' victories during their current streak and has won nine of his last ten decisions.
The Wolf Pack's record thus far against the Sharks is 5-3-1-0, and they have won three of their previous four visits to Worcester.

Saturday, April 7th vs. Springfield at the Hartford Civic Center, 7:00 p.m.
It's "Public Safety Night" at the Civic Center, as the Wolf Pack celebrates Hartford's outstanding contributions towards public safety. Prior to the game, the Hartford Fire Department hits the ice to take on the officers from the Vernon Police Department, Department of Corrections, UConn Fire and the State Police in a game of "The Bravest vs. The Finest" at 4:45pm. That game benefits the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, and admission is included with your Wolf Pack Ticket. In addition, various demonstrations on safety will take place in the Hartford Civic Center Exhibition Hall starting at 5:45 PM. The Hartford Fire Department will have their new tactical unit vehicle and rescue boat, and "Fire Safety Trailer" house, on display.
This is also the last Wolf Pack tenth anniversary commemorative giveaway night. The first 5,000 fans will receive a tenth anniversary commemorative key chain.
The Wolf Pack and Falcons conclude the DATTCO I-91 Challenge with this clash. The Pack are 5-4-0-0 in the season series thus far and are 3-1-0-0 at home vs. the Falcons.
Springfield brings up the rear in the Atlantic Division, with a record of 26-46-1-2 for 55 points.

Sunday, April 8th vs. Albany at the Hartford Civic Center, 4:00 p.m.
This is the second and final meeting of the year between the Wolf Pack and the River Rats, a shared affiliate between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Colorado Avalanche. The Pack defeated the Rats 4-3 in a shootout in the first game between the two clubs, January 10th in Albany.
The River Rats are currently tied with Bridgeport for the last playoff spot in the East Division, with a record of 34-33-3-3 for 74 points.
Albany's leading scorer, Keith Aucoin, has rolled up 25-65-90 in only 59 games. He ranks third in the AHL in assists and fourth in points.
This game features the Wolf Pack's annual team awards ceremony, which will be held immediately following the game.
