McKee Named CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week
David McKee is undefeated this season with a 4-0-0 record
The American Hockey League announced today that Portland Pirates goaltender David McKee has been named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending April 1, 2007. For the week, McKee was 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a..963 save percentage. In recognition of his achievement, McKee will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to the Pirates home game on April 15th.
2007-08 TICKETS ON SALE TUESDAY...
Tickets for the 2007-08 season will go on sale Tuesday, April 3rd. Season ticket packages start as low as $60 (youth) $70 (adults). For more information or to purchase tickets for next season call the Pirates at 828-4665.

The Pirates return to action on Wednesday night in Hartford against the Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. All Pirates games can be heard live on the U.S. Cellular Pirates/WJAB Radio Network. The Pirates game against Hartford will be broadcast on WLOB 1310 AM instead of 1440 AM/95.5 FM because of Boston Red Sox baseball. Fans can also to listen to the game live for free on the internet at www.cnn1240.com. Plus, fans can watch all the excitement of Pirates hockey live on the internet courtesy of B2 Networks by clicking the B2 icon on the right side of the Pirates home page. The pre-game show starts 15 minutes before face off.

COLLEGE NIGHT!
The Portland Pirates are teaming up with SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) of the University of Southern Maine to host College Night. The evening is presented by SIFE and sponsored by TD Banknorth and MacDonald Page. The night will include exciting giveaways, plus pre and post game specials at Bleacher's Sports Bar, $3 Dewey's, Rivalries and Gritty McDuff's Brew Pub. All local college students, alumni and staff are invited to attend Tuesday's game for just $8 (Main and Quarter Deck tickets) and one lucky fan will win $1,000 cash! Fans that purchase tickets to this game online or over the phone will get a free six inch meal deal from Subway!
Vote for the Pirate for a Day Contest Winner
This season the Pirates accepted videos from fans who were trying to win their opportunity to be a Pirate for a Day sponsored by SUBWAY Restaurants. The contest has come down to 3 finalists: Jason Lanoie, Pedro Rivera and Ryan Avery and you get to decide the winner! The winner of the contest will get to be a Pirate for a Day that includes: Pro-rated hockey salary for a day, accommodations at Holiday Inn By the Bay, pre-game meal at SUBWAY restaurants, complete uniform with skates, customized authentic Pirates jersey, player meet-and-greet and much, much more! One lucky voter will be randomly selected and will win a Portland Pirates team autographed hockey helmet. The voting ends on April 6th.
Saturday, April 14th vs. Lowell 7:05 p.m.
Saturday is Hockey Night in Portland! This will be the second of two U.S. Cellular Player Card Nights. The first 5,000 fans will receive the second and final set of 12 Portland Pirates player collector cards sponsored by U.S. Cellular. MaineToday.com's SEEN TEAM will be at the game taking pictures of fans. Entertainment will be provided by Mad Science of Maine and New Hampshire! Lee Stearns will also be providing entertainment in the lobby before the game.
Sunday, April 15th vs. Hartford 4:05 p.m.
The Pirates celebrate Fan Appreciation Night with extra prizes and promotions all evening. At the end of the game the Pirates will give their fans the Shirts off their Backs! The Maine Credit Union League will provide a 2006-2007 Portland Pirates team photo to each fan. In celebration of Fan Appreciation Night, Oxford Plains Speedway will be handing out 2,000 tickets to their May 2nd Oxford Acceleration Series race on the way into the arena.
