B-Sens release Collymore, Saurettel Sign Weller to ATO

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League today announced that they have released right wingers Shawn Collymore and Kevin Saurette from their 25-game professional tryout agreements. The club also signed prospect Shawn Weller to an amateur tryout agreement.

Collymore, a native of LaSalle, Quebec, had one goal and two penalty minutes in nine games with the Senators.

Saurette, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, had two goals, two assists and eight penalty minutes in 24 games with the Senators.

Weller just completed his junior season at Clarkson University. The winger tallied collegiate-highs in goals (19), assist (21), and points (40). The 20-year-old was Ottawa's first third-round choice (77th overall) in 2004 NHL Entry Draft. The Glens Falls, N.Y., native represented the United States at the World Junior Hockey Championships, held in Grand Forks, N.D. in 2004-05.

Binghamton's next game is Wednesday at 7:05 p.m., when they welcome the Hershey Bears to the Arena.
