The Wolf Pack started their season on a winning note, defeating the Philadelphia Phantoms 2-1 on Saturday night in front of 9.204 fans at the Hartford Civic Center. Layne Ulmer assisted on goals by Dominic Moore and Alexandre Giroux. This week, the club plays three games in three nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

Wednesday, October 20 - Wolf Pack at CT Chasers Hockey Clinic 4:00 p.m.
The Hartford Wolf Pack work one-on-one with hockey players with developmental challenges. Steve Valiquette and Jeff Hamilton will be guest coaches at practice at Old Avon Farms School Rink. Media is welcome to attend.
Friday, October 22 - Wolf Pack versus Worcester - Hartford Civic Center 7:05 p.m.
* This will be the Pack's second game of the year, first versus an Atlantic Division rival. The Pack play Worcester eight times this season
* It's Guida's Family Value Night - where families of three or more can get great deals on a ticket/refreshment combination. Call 860-548-2000 for more information
* Worcester comes into the game with a 1-1 record; a 5-2 loss to Manchester on Friday night, and a 7-2 win over Springfield in their home-opener on Saturday. Dennis Wideman (2-3-5) and Peter Sejna (1-4-5) lead the IceCats in scoring

* The Pack's first road game of the season. The teams face each other 10 times during the regular season
* This is game one of the new GEICO Connecticut Cup -- the team winning the most games over the regular season takes the trophy and claims hockey supremacy in the state

Sunday, October 24 - Wolf Pack versus Springfield - Hartford Civic Center 4:05 p.m.
* The Pack's first visit from the Falcons, whom they will play 10 times this year, including back-to-back games to end the season.
* Look for Springfield netminder Jamie Starr, the 7th overall draft pick in '94 (by LA) ... the veteran has 219 NHL games to his credit

* The season's first edition of the Wolf Pack's weekly talk show, "Pack Talk" is this Tuesday, October 19th, from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Little Mark's Big Barbecue, 279 West Main St. (Rt. 44) in Avon. Pack Talk is hosted by the play-by-play voice of the Wolf Pack, Bob Crawford, who will be joined on this week's show by Head Coach Ryan McGill and Pack captain Ken Gernander. They will be taking questions from the live audience at Little Mark's, and the show will also be aired live on the radio home of the Wolf Pack, ESPN Radio 1410.
