October 18, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves have reassigned goaltender ADAM BERKHOEL (BUHRK-uhl) to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL.

BERKHOEL, who did not seen any regular-season action with the Wolves, registered 12 saves on 14 shots in relief of starter Michael Garnett in the Wolves' 5-1 preseason loss against the Milwaukee Admirals on Oct. 5.

The St. Paul, Minn., native led the University of Denver to the 2004 NCAA Championship and was named the NCAA Championship Tournament MVP. BERKHOEL recorded a 24-11-4 mark with a 2.45 goals-against average in 39 games for the Pioneers.

The 23-year-old goaltender was acquired by the Thrashers from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for future considerations on June 27, 2004.
