Connecticut Whale News Release
Hartford, February 13, 2003 - After six straight games on the road, and nearly three weeks away from the Hartford Civic Center, the Hartford Wolf Pack will return home for games this Friday and Saturday, February 14th and 15th.
The Wolf Pack will be entertaining a pair of new visitors to Hartford in the weekend's action. The Milwaukee Admirals, one of six ex-International Hockey League franchise to join the AHL before last season, will make their first-ever trip into the Civic Center Friday. The San Antonio Rampage, a new team in the league this year, will be Saturday's opponent. Both contests face off at 7:05 PM.
Friday evening, Valentine's Night, will be "Diamond in the Rough" night at the Civic Center. The first 1,001 women 16 or older into the game will be entered to win a diamond pendant, valued at over $1,000, from Joseph Conte Jewelers. Plus, the first 200 will be presented with a carnation.
That game is also a Family Night. Family Night packages consisting of four tickets, four hot dogs or pizza slices, four sodas and a team souvenir can be purchased for as low as $56. To purchase Family Night packages, call the Wolf Pack ticket office at 860-548-2000.
Saturday night's game features an exciting promotion as well, as the first 3,000 fans through the gates will receive a free Wolf Pack t-shirt, courtesy of Connecticut School of Broadcasting and WCCC. Also, there will be a special Valentine's twist on Geico "Chuck-a-Puck". Fans who bring a valentine for Sonar the mascot, or for a player, will get a free Chuck-a-Puck foam puck when they purchase one for $1. Proceeds from Geico Chuck-a-Puck benefit the Hartford Wolf Pack Community Foundation.
Wolf Pack multi-game, coupon book and group-discount packages, as well as single-game tickets, are all currently on sale. For further information, contact the Wolf Pack ticket office at 860-548-2000. And for Wolf Pack sponsorship/advertising opportunities, contact Sales at 860-246-7825.
