Adirondack Phantoms News Release
The Philadelphia Phantoms hockey team is joining together with the People-Pet Partnership, Pennsylvania SPCA and Philadelphia Animal Care and Control Association to find new pet owners when the team hosts the Hershey Bears at the First Union Spectrum on Sunday, February 23 at 6:05 p.m. As part of Adopt-A-Pet Night, the PSPCA and PACCA will showcase cats and dogs in need of homes to Phantoms fans.
"The Phantoms are pleased to partner with the People-Pet Partnership, whose mission is to unite unwanted animals with loving owners," said Phantoms Vice President Jim Garino. "Through their relationship with the PSPCA and PACCA, we are able to offer our fans the unique opportunity to adopt a pet during a Phantoms game."
All adoptions must meet eligibility requirements and a registration fee of $50 (cats) or $70 (dogs) will apply. Fans who adopt a cat at the Phantoms game will be able to transport their new pet home immediately following the game in a carrier provided by the PSPCA and PACCA. Dogs will need to be picked up the following day at the PSPCA shelter. All pets available for adoption have received their basic shots and have been spayed or neutered.
Tickets to all Phantoms home games are $18, $17 and $13 for adults, and $8 for all children 14 and under, and are available now at the First Union Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations throughout the Delaware Valley. Tickets can also be charged by phone by calling (215) 336-2000 or (856) 338-9000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Contact the Phantoms office at 215-465-4522 for information on group discounts, birthday packages and the Family Four Pack.
