
Go Grocery Shopping with the Griffins

Grand Rapids, Mich. - Fourteen Grand Rapids Griffins players and coaches will participate in the team's second annual Grocery Baggin' fundraiser for ACCESS of Kent County on Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at four Grand Rapids-area Spartan retail stores.
For each sack of groceries bagged by the Griffins that night, Family Fare, Great Day and Prevo's will donate $1 to ACCESS (All County Church Emergency Support System) of Kent County. Players will be distributed among the four store locations as follows (subject to change):
* Family Fare - 6127 Kalamazoo SE: Assistant coach Todd Nelson, Bryan Adams, Tomas Kopecky
* Great Day - 2755 Lake Michigan Dr. NW: Ed Campbell, Rob Collins, Danny Groulx, Ryan Barnes
* Prevo's - 5241 Northland Dr. NE: Michel Picard, Travis Richards, Nathan Robinson, Dave Van Drunen, Griff (mascot)
* Family Fare Rogers Plaza - 1148 28th Street SW: Hugo Boisvert, Sheldon Brookbank, Nick Greenough
Founded in 1981, ACCESS is a network of more than 250 congregations and individuals throughout Kent County. The organization oversees the Food Pantry Network of Kent County, a food referral system of 100 pantries designed to respond to those in need of food assistance. ACCESS also offers new pantry start-up help, food drive organization, food fund assistance, volunteer recruitment, computer maintenance and the Holiday Giving Network Program.
