Wisconsin Herd Stopped by Cleveland Charge

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Cleveland Charge 96-93. The Herd led at the end of the third quarter by four points. The Charge opened the fourth quarter with eight unanswered points to take an early lead. A strong defensive fourth quarter held the Charge to 17 and the Herd to 10 points. The Charge secured a 96-93 win.

Joe Wieskamp was on top for both teams with 23 points followed by Rob Edwards with 17. Jontay Porter posted his second double-double of the season with 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Isaiah Mobley tallied 22 points while Sharife Cooper added 21 for the Cleveland Charge.

Joe Wieskamp hit back-to-back baskets to put the Herd up 5-2 early in the first quarter. The Charge took the lead at the nine-minute mark. The Herd battled back and a three from Jontay Porter put them ahead 12-10. The two teams traded the lead three times before the Charge went up 25-24 at the end of the first quarter.

Jordan Bone completed a three-point play to open the second quarter. The Charge made back-to-back threes to put them ahead 33-31 with ten minutes remaining in the half. The Charge led by five points with six minutes remaining. Jontay Porter hit a putback shot to tie the game 48-48 at the three-minute mark. Jordan Bone completed a fast break layup to put the Herd ahead 50-48. The Herd was on top 54-52 at the half. Joe Wieskamp posted a team-high of 11 points in the first half.

The Herd opened the third quarter going on a 10-2 run putting them up by 10 points. The Charge answered with a run to bring them within two. The Herd turned around to gain a nine-point lead with four minutes remaining. Joe Wieskamp hit a three to make the score 81 - 69. Cleveland charged back to come within two, but the Herd held on to lead 83-79 at the end of the third quarter. Joe Wieskamp led both teams with 21 points.

The Charge opened the fourth quarter with eight unanswered points to take the lead 89-83. Lindell Wigginton completed a three-point play to put the Herd within two. With one minute remaining the Herd was down 93-91. The Charge held on to win 96-93.
