Westchester Knicks News Release

MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, almost succeeded in waning time but fell to Raptors 905, 111-109, Friday night at Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

Walker (returning rights) led the Knicks (0-4) for the second consecutive night with 25 points on 50-percent while netting four triples on 44-percent off the bench. Garrison Brooks (affiliate) registered his fourth-straight double-double with 24 points (career-high) and 17 boards. James Akinjo (affiliate) recorded 11 points and a game-high 15 assists. Trevor Keels (Two-Way) added 14 points, five boards, two assists and just one turnover in 38 minutes.

Saben Lee led the Raptors (3-1) again with 25 points. Reggie Perry and Jeff Dowtin Jr both put up 17 points. Melvin Frazier Jr. had 10 points as a reserve.

The Knicks claimed a four-point lead at half, 54-50, and remained in the driver's seat until about the midway point of the fourth. From about the seven-minute mark and over the next five minutes, the Raptors put together a 20-9 run to knot things late, 102-up with 2:11 remaining. A Raptors' triple put them up three before four empty possessions spanned the next minute and a half.

A Walker finish in traffic with 27.2 seconds adjusted the score, 105-104, but unlucky contact by Keels put the Raptors on the line with 19 seconds left. Lee split his pair of chances, 106-104, but on a Brooks' board, Westchester raced down the other end.

Akinjo lost possession of the rock and committed a foul to stop the clock. Lee converted both tries forcing Westchester to call for time with 12 seconds pictured, 108-104. Out of the huddle, Frazier put Walker on the line for three and he went perfect to bring the Knicks within one with 9.6 seconds. Westchester resorted to offensive/defensive schemes which initially proved successful. The Raptors missed a pair at the stripe and Akinjo hit two down the other end to gift the Knicks a late one-point edge, 109-108. However, a Raptors' side out-of-bounds play with 2.4 seconds saw an off-balanced Perry shot go in to ice the outcome.

The Knicks will have a week's break before traveling to College Park Sunday, November 20 for a 2:00 PM ET contest.
