Rochester Red Wings News Release


RHP Nick Blackburn was placed on disabled list Monday with a strained right forearm. Blackburn is expected to miss his next two starts. INF Ken Harvey was also placed on the disabled list with a sore right knee. Harvey will have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

LHP Ryan Mullins and LHP Jay Sawatski will be promoted to Rochester from Double-A New Britain Tuesday. Mullins has a 1-2 record with a 3.51 ERA in eight starts (40 SO, 12 BB) at Double-A, after posting a 3-3, 1.98 mark at Class A Ft. Myers to start the season. Mullins struck out 56 and walked only 12 in 54.2 innings at Ft. Myers before his promotion to Double-A.

Sawatski has a 4-3 record with a 4.50 ERA in 31 games (three starts) for the Rock Cats.
