Wild Announce Trade with Saskatoon Blades
October 10, 2023 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Wenatchee Wild News Release
WENATCHEE, Wash. - The Wenatchee Wild have announced a trade with the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League (WHL), sending 2003-born forward Easton Armstrong to Saskatoon for a third-round selection in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft, and a sixth-round pick in the 2027 WHL Draft.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Armstrong is in his fourth full season of Western Hockey League play, playing for the Regina Pats before joining the Winnipeg ICE during the 2022-23 season and remaining with the team during its relocation to Wenatchee this past offseason.
"As we make the necessary cuts down to three 20-year-old players, it's important for us to keep as many players in the Western Hockey League as possible during that process, and regain some of the draft picks that were traded during past years," said general manager Bliss Littler.
The Wenatchee Wild thank Easton Armstrong for all of his contributions to the team and organization, and wish him all future success on and off the ice.
