Langley, B.C. - With today, Tuesday, Oct. 10, being the 20-year-old cut-down date in the Western Hockey League, the Vancouver Giants have announced that 2003-born defenceman Carson Hayes was released and later claimed off waivers by the Regina Pats.

"This was a difficult decision to make," said Giants General Manager Braclay Parneta. "Carson is a terrific young man and a solid defenceman. We are happy he's able to continue his WHL career in Regina."

The Giants thank Carson for his contributions to the team over the last 15 months and wish him well with the Pats.

The three 20-year-olds remaining on the Giants roster are: forward Skyler Bruce, defenceman Logen Hammett and goaltender Brett Mirwald.
