Everett Silvertips News Release

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips have traded forward Roan Woodward to the Edmonton Oil Kings in exchange for the Seattle Thunderbirds' 5th-round pick in the 2026 WHL Draft.

"Roan was a great Silvertip," commented general manager/head coach Dennis Williams. "His game has developed over the past two seasons and was a great teammate on and off the ice. We wish him all the best in Edmonton."

The trade was made in accordance with a request to be closer to home, citing family reasons.

Woodward, an '05-born Nipawin, SK native, skated in six games this season for the Silvertips registering two assists. Originally drafted in the fourth round in 2020, he appeared in 113 career regular season games over the course of three seasons logging seven goals and 16 assists.

He netted six goals with 10 assists in 65 games during the 2022-23 campaign, with an additional goal and assist in five postseason contests.
