Wild Acquire Playing Rights to Justus Chyld from Tri-City Americans

WENATCHEE, Wash. - The Wenatchee Wild of the Western Hockey League have announced a trade with the Tri-City Americans, acquiring the WHL playing rights to 2007-born defenseman Justus Chyld in exchange for an eighth-round selection in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.

Chyld is currently on the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds U18 roster in the British Columbia Elite Hockey League, making eight appearances thus far this season. He made 36 appearances for the Thunderbirds' U17 team a year ago, picking up 11 assists. Chyld appeared in the Americans' preseason training camp ahead of the 2022-23 season, as well as this season.
