LET'S INTIMIDATE THEM: West Virginia will continue its series against Kannapolis tonight. The Power were swept in a five game series at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium during their first road trip of the season, including back-to-back walk off losses during a doubleheader on April 23. Kannapolis leads the all-time series 38-30, and hold an 18-16 edge at Appalachian Power Park.

ACTIVATED: Tyler Waldron was activated off the Power disabled list on Friday afternoon. Waldron was placed on the DL on April 29. To make room for Waldron, Zack Dodson was transferred to the State College roster. Dodson leads West Virginia with a 3.12 ERA and is tied for the team lead with 30 strikeouts.

West Virginia holds a 15-9 record over the rest of the days of the week combined, including a 7-2 mark on Saturdays and Sundays (combined).

SPEED THRILLS AGAIN: Power base runners stole a season-high four bags Wednesday night and matched the feat with four last night. The Power had not stolen more than two bases during any of the first 30 games of the season until Wednesday. FOURTH TIME THROUGH: Jameson Taillon made his fourth start for the Power last night and notched his third no-decision. Taillon has tossed a total of 15 innings, allowing 12 hits, three runs (all earned), and has struck out 14 batters. Opposing batters are hitting .222 against the 19 year-old Texan.

THE BOOK ON BUCH: West Virginia faced Ryan Buch on April 23 during game two of the doubleheader. The right-hander allowed five runs on six hits over five innings, but did not factor in the decision when the Inimidators rallied for a walk-off win. Buch walked three and struck out four.
