HICKORY, NC - The Hickory Crawdads fell to the Augusta GreenJackets, 5-0, before 4,444 fans at L.P. Frans Stadium on Saturday night.

The GreenJackets (14-22) got out to a two-run lead, striking for a pair of runs against RHP Carlos Melo (L, 2-4) in the top of the third. With two outs and no one on, SS Ehire Adrianza kept the frame going with a single, before taking second on a wild pitch. 3B Adam Duvall followed with an RBI double, knocking in Adrianza for the game's first run. DH Drew Biery returned the favor with an RBI single, plating Duvall and putting the GreenJackets up, 2-0.

Augusta stretched the lead with three runs in the top of the fifth inning. With runners at the corners and no one down, SS Ehire Adrianza drove an RBI single to center field, making it 3-0 and chasing Melo from the mound. RHP Nick Tepesch took over and, after a fly out and a walk to load the bases, 1B Ryan Scoma plated a pair with a two-run double, increasing the Augusta advantage to 5-0.

Tepesch settled things down, logging three innings without allowing a run charged to his line, before RHP Colby Killian and LHP Kevin Johnson both tossed a scoreless late relief frame apiece for the Crawdads (20-15).

However, Augusta starter RHP Seth Rosin (W, 1-2) put in seven scoreless innings and was followed a two scoreless stanzas from LHP Gaspar Santiago to nail down the 5-0 win for the GreenJackets.
