Augusta Lynx News Release
The Lynx are fresh off a 4-2 win over the Greenville Grrrowl at home Saturday night and are back at home today, Sunday March 13, as the Texas Wildcatters come to Augusta for the first time in franchise history.
Today we bring you the second of our Dino's Chiacgo Express Weiner Dog Races. Bring your weiner dog to the game today, sign the pooch up at the Sprint Customer Service Booth at the civic center, and see if your weiner dog has the speed he'll need to win this event.
It's also a very special day for the folks at The Augusta Chronicle and two lucky finalists in The Chronicle's Make Kids Count $15,000 Scholarship Contest. The finalists are 12-year-old Quint Cook of Hephzibah and 10-year-old Mitchell Redd of North Augusta. One of these boys will win a $10,000 scholarship bond, and the runner-up will receive a $5,000 scholarship bond. The Chronicle's Make Kiods Count program has given away more than $150,000 in scholarships to local children the past two years, and the Augusta Lynx are proud to be partnered with The Chronicle in this great promotion.
This weekend also marks the beginning of our 2005-06 Season Ticket renewals and sales.
