FARGO, N.D. - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have an exciting list of giveaways and fun activities planned for this weekend at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, ND.
Tonight, Friday, June 24 will kick off the fun as the gates open at 6:00 pm for a 7:02 game. Fireworks will be launched after the game thanks to Country Financial.
On Saturday, it is time to celebrate Roger Maris' 50th Anniversary of 61 in '61. An honorary baseball card will be provided to not the first 500 or first 1,000 fans but to every single fan in attendance. Maris has direct roots to the Fargo-Moorhead baseball as this is where he started his illustrious career back in 1953.
After you pick up your Maris souvenir, fans 21 years of age and older can head down to the Budweiser Beer Garden for a sampling party provided by Anheuser Busch & D-S Beverages. Moorhead Center Mall will present their "Launch-A-Ball" contest after the game in which fans have the opportunity to win great prizes such as RedHawks season tickets, two round-trip tickets to Las Vegas courtesy of Allegiant Air, and gift certificates to the Moorhead Center Mall.
June 26th is SuperValu Day and all kids 12 and under will be able to run the bases after the game on this Sunday afternoon.
The RedHawks will take on the Sioux City Explorers during this three-game series. They will look to improve upon their 2-1 record against the Explorers. Odds are in their favor as the RedHawks are 13-7 at home and 13-5 during games played on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
