Famous Chicken Comes to QuikTrip Park Today

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas -- The Grand Prairie AirHogs are excited for what could be the biggest weekend of the year as they take on the El Paso Diablos at QuikTrip Park with two major promotions on tap.

First up on Friday, June 24, comes the first ever appearance of the Famous S.D. Chicken at QuikTrip Park - the world's most famous mascot's only trip to the DFW Metroplex in 2011, presented by Parkland Community Health Plan.

Saturday night is QuikTrip Night, which features another postgame spectacular fireworks show, along with a chance to get FREE tickets to the game from your local QuikTrip store. All you have to do is pick up a complimentary voucher at your nearest area QuikTrip location, and take it to the box office at QuikTrip Park for your ticket to Saturday night's game.

The series and the brief homestand conclude on Sunday with Pepsi Family Day, featuring $1 hot dogs and Pepsi products, along with a chance to play catch on the field before the game and for kids to run the bases after the contest.

The first two games of the series are at 7:05 p.m., while Sunday's game is at 6:05. Gates open one hour before gametime.
