On the line-up card we received from the San Antonio Missions Friday afternoon, Hunter Renfroe was listed as one two designated hitters.

We made the mistake of double-checking, and a corrected version put Renfroe in right field. In retrospect, we should have let the card go uncorrected, perhaps creating an "issue," because Renfroe hit two home runs, leading the Missions to a 7-1 win at Security Bank Ballpark.

The game was a virtual "180" from Thursday, when the 'Hounds shut out San Antonio, 7-0, on four hits, while banging out 13 of their own and playing excellent defense. James Needy went six innings Friday night, backed by an 11-hit attack, and a pair of RockHound errors led to two unearned runs as the Missions built the early lead. Needy and two relievers held the 'Hounds to four hits, walking four and striking out six.

Needy, a 2014 Texas League Postseason All-Star, opened the year with El Paso of the (Triple-A) Pacific Coast League, but struggled to a 7.17 ERA in 16 starts with the Chihuahuas. The 6-6, 230-pound right-hander has picked up right where he left a year ago at the Double-A level, however, improving to 4-0 with a 2.17 ERA in four starts since rejoining the Missions.

While Renfroe provided the power, Benji Gonzalez was also key to the San Antonio attack, going 3-for-5 with three singles, scoring two runs and driving in another. Gonzalez, who entered the series 3-for-18 since joining the Missions, is 5-for-9 in the first two of the four-game set.
