
Renfroe's Long Balls Lead Missions to Victory

MIDLAND--Hunter Renfroe homered twice and James Needy worked six innings to improve to 4-0 in four starts Friday night in front of 3,998 at Security Bank Ballpark.
The win snapped the club's four-game losing streak. It was only the Missions fourth win in their last 14 games against Midland.
Renfroe turned in his second multi-homer game of the season. He's hit a Double-A leading nine homers in 31 games since June 21 after hitting only three thru his first 59 games.
Needy allowed the only Rockhounds run in the sixth inning. The right-hander has been scored upon in just four of his 29 innings since coming down from Triple-A.
The top four hitters in the Missions lineup combined for nine of the team's 11 hits. Renfroe added a single to his pair of longballs and Benji Gonzalez collected three hits as well.
NOTES: RHP Ronald Herrera joined the team from Single-A Lake Elsinore and will start Sunday's series finale...Friday's contest was just the fourth time in 42 games that San Antonio scored as many as seven runs.
