
Waugh joins the Chiefs

Johnstown, PA (November 29, 2006) - The Johnstown Chiefs today announced that defenseman Geoff Waugh has been assigned to the team by the AHL's Springfield Falcons.
Waugh, who was selected in the third round (78th overall) by the Dallas Stars in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, has appeared in ten games for Springfield this season, recording 25 penalty minutes, and earned two penalty minutes in two games with the Chiefs earlier this seasons. He completed his collegiate career at Northern Michigan University, where in 158 games with the Wildcats, the Winnipeg, Man.-native scored two goals and 34 assists while accumulating 276 penalty minutes.
The Johnstown Chiefs, "AA" affiliate of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, are home this Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Trenton and this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. against Reading.
