Idaho Steelheads News Release
BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Steelheads Hockey Club have partnered with the Boise Rotary Club for the Adopt-A-Duck Shoot-Out to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho.
Make-A-Wish is a unique organization whose goal is to grant a "Wish" to a child with a life threatening illness. The wishes are paid in full by Make-A-Wish, and are at no cost to the family. Granting these "Wishes" is costly, but can make a big difference in the life of a child that truly deserves a dream come true.
Come to the Steelheads game on Saturday, December 2nd to see whether your duck will win the grand prize! The adopted rubber ducks will be shot into nets by Mighty Might hockey players. Those lucky ducks that get in a net will qualify to then be shot towards center ice by Make-A-Wish kids and local celebrities. The puck closest to the center wins the grand prize of a plasma screen tv from RC Willey. In addition, many other prizes will be won including airline tickets from Southwest Airlines & Continental Airlines, jewelry from Steve Rambo Jewelers, appliances from Jim's Appliance, executive suites to Steelheads games, and more.
Ducks can be adopted during the first period of the December 2nd game or online at www.duckrace.com/boise Fees: Single Duck: $5 / Quack Pack: 5 Ducks @ $25 Online Adoption Closes: December 1, 2006 at 12:01 AM MST Race Day Schedule: Idaho Steelheads game starts at 7:10 PM.
