
Walker Traded to Grizzlies

DULUTH, Ga. - The Gwinnett Gladiators have announced that forward Brenden Walker has been traded to the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for future considerations on Monday.
Walker, 22, has played in 110 professional contests, all with the Gladiators since 2013-14. Walker was Gwinnett's third leading scorer this season, with 15 goals and 27 assists (42 points) in 54 games played. Last season, he was fifth on the team in points (36 points), but he led the team in goals with 22.
The native of St. Anne, Manitoba played for four years in the WHL from 2009 to 2013. In his first three seasons, he played in 197 regular season games with the Brandon Wheat Kings and then wrapped up his juniors career with the Saskatoon Blades. His best juniors season came in 2011-12, when he tallied 26 goals and 55 assists (81 points) for the Wheat Kings.
The Utah Grizzlies currently sit in fourth place in the ECHL's Pacific Division with a 28-22-5-3 record. The team ranks 20th in average goals for per game with 2.81 goals, and last in the league in average shots for per game - 26.29. Walker leads Gwinnett in shots with 149 this season.
