
Walker Earns League Honors

For the second time this season, Walker has been named the Northern League Pitcher of the Week, this time for July 27 to August 2. He was also the Rawlings NL Pitcher of the Month for June.
Making two starts last week, Walker won both while posting a 1.98 earned run average. He struck out 11 and allowed just two walks in 13-plus innings. For the year, he is 9-3 with a 2.84 ERA and four complete games. His wins, ERA and complete games are all a league-best, while opponents are batting just .259 against him.
