Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release

Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today the signing of southpaw Bill Pulsipher. He will get the start tonight when Winnipeg opens a three-game set with Joliet. Game time is 7 p.m.

Pulsipher, 35, began the season with Puebla of the Mexican League, where he went 3-3 with a 6.08 earned run average in eight appearances (seven starts) for the Pericos. His arrival gives Winnipeg a full complement of 22 players on its roster, split evenly between pitchers and position players.

Making his pro debut in 1992, Pulsipher entered the 2009 season a career 79-77 with a 3.90 ERA in 302 minor league appearances. He's also appeared in 106 Major League games with the Mets, Brewers, Diamondbacks, Red Sox, White Sox and Cardinals, fashioning a 13-19 record with a 5.15 ERA.

Great seats for all Goldeyes games start at just $5 and are available at all Ticketmaster locations, including the ballpark box office, by calling 780-3333 or visiting ticketmaster.ca.

FISH FOOD: As the Goldeyes welcomed Pulsipher, they bid good-bye to reliever Jon Huizinga, who was traded over the weekend to Schaumburg for future considerations.
