Hagerstown Suns News Release
On Friday, July 15th, the Hagerstown Suns will welcome the popular Veggie Tales' "Bob the Tomato" and "Larry the Cucumber." The Veggie Tales will be a part of the Suns "Faith Night" promotion at Municipal Stadium. They will be on hand before and during the game to greet fans and entertain the crowd. Bob and Larry will also be throwing out the ceremonial first pitches of the game.
Also highlighting the night will be a unique Bob the Tomato Baseball giveaway to the first 2,000 fans to enter Municipal Stadium. Game time for Saturday is 7:05pm as the playoff bound Suns take on the Lake County Captains.
Also on tap for Faith Night is a pre-game concert with National Recording Artist Nate Sallie, not Monk & Neagle as originally scheduled. The concert will begin at 5:30pm. Faith-based Trivia and other similar promotional contests will take place throughout the evening as well.
The Suns are the single A affiliate of the New York Mets and are owned by Los Angeles based Mandalay Baseball Properties. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call the Suns at 301.791.6266 or visit www.hagerstownsuns.com.
