BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Valentine's Day is approaching and fans are in for a real treat this weekend in Condorstown. It's G Timo Pielmeier Youth Jersey Giveaway on Saturday when the Condors host the Las Vegas Wranglers and Valentine's Day Jersey Off of Our Backs Raffle and Auction on Sunday when the Ontario Reign comes to town. Saturday's game begins at 7 p.m., while Sunday's game is a special 2 p.m. matinee start. Doors open an hour before puck drop. The Condors begin the weekend in Las Vegas with a 7 p.m. contest against the Wranglers.

Saturday will feature one of the hottest promotional items of the season. It's Timo Pielmeier Youth Jersey Giveaway, presented by KGET-TV 17, La Preciosa 105.3 and McDonald's. Be sure to get your tickets early and get to Rabobank Arena in a timely manner because only the first 2,000 fans 12 and under will receive this limited edition youth Condors jersey, featuring "Timo #33" on the back. Even Timo is excited to see his first professional jersey made just for him.

"That's really cool to have my own jersey," said Pielmeier. "They look good, and I'm excited to see all the kids wearing them on Saturday."

During Saturday's first intermission, KGET-TV 17's Sports Director Todd Strain will participate in the North Kern Golf Cart Challenge. He will attempt to beat the record of 1 minute and 2 seconds.

Bring that special someone or your family out to Sunday's matinee Valentine's Day Jersey Off of Our Backs Raffle and Auction, sponsored by Bright House Networks, 96.5 Max FM and McDonald's. These one-of-a-kind specialty jerseys are black with shades of pink and purple mixed in. At the bottom of the jersey's front are candy hearts featuring common hockey phrases like 'power play,' 'triple deke' and 'shoots scores.' The main logo on the front depicts a condor holding heart-tipped arrows. On the back, towards the bottom, the players are encouraged to fill in the check boxes with choices of "single" and "taken."

All fans in attendance have a chance to win one of five game jerseys to be given away, while the remaining jersey will be auctioned off at center ice, following the conclusion of the game. Money raised from the auction will benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

"The boys are going to have some fun with these," said RW Nick Kemp. "We're looking forward to seeing the fans' reactions when we wear them."

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, the Valline Wedding will take place on the Rabobank Arena ice during the first intermission. Colonel Claw'd will give the bride away.

Sunday is also ABC23, SC Architect & Kern County Firefighters Condors Classroom Champions Night. Students who achieve outstanding attendance levels at school will receive a complimentary ticket to evening's game. In addition, it is Bright House Networks FamilyDay. BHN subscribers receive $7.00 admission per person by presenting the coupon available in their cable bill or bill envelope.

Following every game, Condors players will be at the Bakersfield Marriott Autograph Booth, located on the arena concourse behind section 108. G Timo Pielmeier and F Gino Guyer will be at the booth on Saturday, while F Andrew Ianiero and RW Jason Dale will be signing on Sunday. The players will arrive at the booth approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game to meet fans and sign autographs.

All Condors games can be heard live on ESPN 1230, or through live streaming on B2 Networks and www.bakersfieldcondors.com.
